European and International Tax Law Seminars
Sponsored by the Portucel Soporcel Group

The seminars form part of the programme of studies and research in the area of European and International Tax Law (Ana Paula Dourado/José Almeida Fernandes), aimed at Master’s, PhD, and other Postgraduate students, as well as the general public interested in this area. The seminars are run in English and the sessions are open to all those interested in the topic, and there is a limited number of places available.
The speakers come from different national, European and third country Universities.

The aim is to enable participants to become aware of different topics and methodologies being developed by both well-known researchers and younger researchers in the area.

The seminars have the following format:

  • 15-20 minute presentation by the invited researcher, based on work made available on this page to all participants prior to the session.
  • 10 minute commentary by an invited guest (member of the Faculty’s Teaching Staff or other individual).
  • Questions alternately put by the students (and previously prepared in Master’s/PhD Seminars) and by the audience – to allow for 1 hour and 15 minutes of discussion.
