Article 1
(Constitution and denomination)

1. A non-profit cultural association is hereby established, designated as the Institute for Economic, Fiscal and Tax Law - Association, henceforth known as Institute.

2. The activities of the Institute are carried out within the scope of the life of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, henceforth known as FDUL, in keeping with the principles of teaching and research complementarity and cooperation with the other institutes and study centres which function within it.
