Conference: Competition and leniency: experience and lessons
16 November 2016, Auditorium of Lisbon School of Law

Being lenient to punish more and better? Despite deep initial resistance, leniency programmes have assumed a leading role in the public enforcement of competition law. Several years having elapsed of experience with these programmes, it is time to review the lessons learned, revisit the initial criticism and discuss future improvements. Why have some programmes been more successful than others? What lessons can be drawn for other branches of the law? These and other issues will be debated by speakers with many years of practical experience, on the morning of November 16th, Wednesday, at the Lisbon University Law School. Free entry subject to prior registration (ideff@fd.ulisboa.pt).
